Top 10 Best Sandy Beaches to Visit in Turkey 2025

Where are the Best Sandy Beaches in Turkey?

Hello and welcome! I’ve been living in Turkey for about 20 years, and whenever I get a chance, I try to explore the world.

Right now I’m writing from Marmaris, one of the most beautiful beaches in Turkey. With the arrival of April, I couldn’t resist the sunny weather and found myself on the stunning shores of the Aegean Sea. As I enjoy my Cocktail, I’d like to share some of Turkey’s amazing beaches with you.

1 Kabak Beach / Oludeniz Fethiye

Kabak Beach is one of my favorite vacation spots in Turkey, and I make sure to visit it at least once a year. It’s famous for its beautiful beach, lively night parties, and amazing hiking trails. The famous Lycian Way also passes through here, making it a popular route for hikers. Kabak Beach is just a 30 minute drive from Oludeniz in Fethiye. Camping is very common here and the roads is quite rough.

2 Ilica Beach / Cesme - Izmir

Cesme, located in the Izmir district of Turkey, is truly a vacation paradise. Known for its stunning beaches and historical sites, it’s one of Turkey’s most famous vacation destinations. If you’re looking for an amazing beach, I highly recommend Ilica Beach. When you visit Ilica, you might feel like you’re in the Maldives.

3 Palamutbuku Beach Datca - Izmir

Palamutbuku Beach, located on the Datca Peninsula, offers a peaceful and natural beauty. With its fine sandy shore and clean, shallow waters, it’s an ideal place for a relaxing vacation. Surrounded by olive groves, this beach appeals to nature lovers. Restaurants and cafes serve fresh seafood, and the evening sunsets are truly mesmerizing. Activities such as swimming and nature walks are great for physical health and mental relaxation.

4 Kaputas Beach - Antalya

Kaputas Beach, located between Kas and Kalkan on Turkey’s Mediterranean coast, is a stunning hidden gem. With its turquoise waters and fine golden sand, it offers an ideal escape for beach lovers. Surrounded by steep cliffs, the beach is accessed by a long flight of stairs, adding to its sense of seclusion. It’s an excellent place to de-stress as the serene surroundings and soothing sound of the waves help to calm the mind.

5 Sarimsakli Beach - Balikesir

Sarimsakli Beach is located in Ayvalik, Balikesir, Turkey. This area is a real natural wonder. The beach is about 10 kilometers long and has a great sandy shoreline. There are a few things to keep in mind when visiting. For example, sunbeds can be rented at the beach, but they can be a bit expensive. If you plan to buy an umbrella, be sure to take the wind into account, as this area tends to be quite windy.

6 Kleopatra Beach - Alanya

Kleopatra Beach located on Sedir Island in the city of Alanya, is a stunning and unique destination in Turkey. Known for its fine golden sand, rumored to have been brought here by Kleopatra herself, the beach is a must-see. The crystal clear turquoise waters are perfect for swimming and the peaceful atmosphere is enhanced by the surrounding pine forests. The sand at Kleopatra Beach is incredibly soft and smooth, making it the perfect place to lounge under the sun.

7 Incekum Beach - Marmaris

I visited Incekum Beach once and it’s really beautiful. The sand is soft and the water is crystal clear, but it can get a bit crowded. If you go to Marmaris, I’d recommend exploring the coves. The more popular spots can be crowded, but if you venture out into the bays, you can discover some amazing, secluded places with no one around.

8 Ayazma Beach - Bozcaada

Bozcaada is one of the places in Turkey with the coldest sea water. If you enjoy swimming in cooler waters and are looking for a vacation spot with a rich historical atmosphere, Bozcaada could be the perfect place for you. However, keep in mind that there’s no road access to the island. You’ll need to take a ferry to get there, so it’s important to research ferry prices and availability in advance. During the holiday season, the island can get very crowded, and finding space can be difficult.

9 Amos - Bozburun / Marmaris

Amos is a peaceful cove on the Bozburun Peninsula near Marmaris, known for its natural beauty. It’s the perfect place for those who want to escape the crowds and enjoy a quiet vacation. The crystal clear blue waters, lush greenery and historical ruins make it an outstanding destination. One of the highlights of the area is the ancient city of Amos, a remarkable historical site that adds to the charm of the region.

10 Orak Island - Bodrum Mugla

Orak Island, located near Bodrum, is a peaceful escape with clear waters and beautiful beaches. It’s perfect for swimming and snorkeling, offering calm, secluded spots to relax. You can explore the island by boat, discovering hidden coves away from the crowds. If you’re looking for a quiet, nature-filled getaway, Orak Island is a great choice.
