Only through this, will you face your intrusive thoughts, your insecurity, and those negative emotions that hold you back.

Also, if you see a group at a cafe or hotel bar, just say “hello” and let things flow naturally. There are tons of travel communities on Facebook—make sure to join them! And don’t miss out on hiking trips, parties, or other local events; they’ll not only make your trip more enjoyable but also be great for your mental well-being.

Keep Yourself and Your Gear Safe!

Safety is crucial when traveling. If something goes wrong, it can completely throw off your mood and make you question whether traveling was the right choice. Before you head out, I strongly recommend getting travel insurance. Personally, I never leave home without it. Additionally, make sure to dress appropriately for the culture you’re visiting, and always carry a combination lock. The key to a traditional lock can easily get lost, and that’s a situation you don’t want to deal with. I prefer this lock for my travels. 

Embrace Who You Are!

Accept yourself as you are. Even seasoned travelers who have been traveling for 20 years still make mistakes. Don’t be afraid to make mistakes; what really matters is your attitude. Learn what needs to be done before you go, but don’t over-plan. Let things flow. If you make mistakes, laugh it off.
