Merhaba and Welcome To ! I’m Bekir, originally from Turkey. I travelled to the fascinating country of Albania in the Balkans and then to Georgia, the jewel of the Black Sea. These trips completely changed my perspective on life and travel. Inspired by this transformation, I decided to make a bold change in my own life. I left everything behind, took a risk and took the first step towards my dreams by creating Bekir the Nomad, where I merged my career and my passions.

The Genesis of My Journey!
Questioning Myself: A Turning Point in My Life
Until I turned 30, my life was mostly routine and limited. I had never traveled outside of Turkey. I worked in different fields, but I never felt like I really belonged in any of them. I had to work to make a living, but each job made me question what I really wanted.
One day, I thought about the countries I had dreamed of visiting since I was a child. Unfortunately, I had never been to any of them. I hadn’t even traveled to the neighboring countries of the one I lived in. There was always too much work to do, and I never had the time.
So, What Happened Next?
Finding the Strength to Change My Path
I realized I needed to change my life, but how could I find the courage? My 20s were behind me, and my responsibilities had grown. The people around me didn’t look at this new lifestyle positively, and many times, they showed negative attitudes.
At that time, my wife and I were not yet married. When I shared my decision to change with her, she gave me the biggest support. We got married, and after a while, we both felt the same way: We didn’t feel connected to this life. It was time to take action.
My Journey to Becoming a Digital Nomad
Things weren’t going well in my corporate job. I realized that under the guise of success, they were stealing my energy and time. My energy could somehow be restored, but my time was becoming more valuable every day. I felt unhappy, but at the same time I felt hopeful. In this state of indecision, I started researching and through my digital work I discovered the Digital Nomad lifestyle.
I could do my work online and travel the world. It was perfect for me. But there was a problem: In the videos I watched and the articles I read, this lifestyle seemed like a reward handed to me on a platter. I didn’t fully understand both the positive and negative sides of this lifestyle.
Saying Goodbye to the Corporate Office
A Turning Point
I began to feel more and more trapped in the corporate office I was working for. Finally, I made the decision to break the cycle and leave the company. It was one of the smartest decisions I’ve ever made. I felt free, but I also knew that this freedom would lead me on a challenging journey. I had a small savings and my dreams were big. But despite the uncertainty, there was a sense of happiness within me.

The First Chapter of My Global Story
The Pearl of the Balkans - Albania
I decided to make a big change in my life. I removed the negative elements and began to feel more connected to positive energy. I gave myself more time and my desire to travel grew stronger every day.
One day, my wife and I opened up Google Flights and looked at airline tickets. We found a ticket to Albania, one of the beautiful countries in the Balkans. Its proximity to Turkey was a big advantage for us, so we bought the ticket right away. The moment I bought the ticket, I felt an indescribable excitement inside me. When we landed in Albania, my feelings were mixed: I was both very nervous and excited.
Living Life on My Terms
A Manifesto
After returning from our trip to Albania, I gained valuable experience and had the chance to explore the digital nomad lifestyle more closely. In the process, I met other digital nomads and began to understand this way of life on a deeper level. Upon my return to Turkey, I made a life-changing decision: I decided to declare my manifesto and make this journey my own. I started a blog to share my experiences, travel memories, and every aspect of being a digital nomad – the good and the bad – with others
